The studio has been designing residential houses, cultural institutions, while renovating, rebuilding, and converting old warehouse buildings in New York City into lofts and apartments. Maintaining the integrity of the old warehouse structures while adding a contemporary and minimalistic design layout has always been a guiding principle.

Inspired by the intriguing and dramatic beach- and landscapes and the basic, yet sophisticated wooden houses of Fire Island – an outer barrier island parallel to the south shore of Long Island, New York – the studio has specialised in designing beach houses.
